Nigeria To Host Girls U19 African Volleyball Championship In September

Nigeria is set to host the 2022 Girl's U19 African Nations Volleyball championship at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja reports BSNSports.com.ng.

According to an inside source, six (6) African countries have signified their interest in participating in the tournament but their names are yet to be made public.

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation wants to confirm if they are all going to make it down to Abuja for the championship before they make it official.

The arrival date of the championship is billed for 30th September 2022 (Tuesday), Technical Meeting will be hosted on 31st August (Wednesday) while the championship kicks off on 1st September.

Meanwhile, Nigeria's U19 girl's team will be hoping for a better outing after the boy's team failed to finish among the top three at the African U21 Men’s Nation’s Volleyball Championship as they lost 3-0 (21-25, 20-25, 23-25) to Cameroon.

Recall the volleyball team won three games and lost the same number at the championship.
