Nigeria To Take Part In African Boxing Championship

Nigeria is listed among the 27 countries that have registered to participate in the 2023 African Boxing Championship for Men and Women slated to take place in Yaounde, Cameroon, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nearly 37 countries had expressed their desire to participate in the African Championships but unfortunately, not everyone could confirm their place.
Thus, we will have 27 countries competing throughout these African Championships and they are the regulars of major African boxing competitions.
These include countries such as Nigeria, Senegal, Côte d'Ivoire, Mali, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Cabo Verde, Cameroon, Congo, Gabon, DR Congo and Guinea Equatorial. We also have South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia, Seychelles, Mauritius and all the North African countries except Egypt.
In total, nearly 264 boxers were registered in the different categories of this competition.
The draw for the fights has been made and the fighting begins this Sunday, July 30, 2023.
