Nigeria Volleyball Federation Final Phase of 2025 Premier League Set to Begin in Abuja

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) says all arrangements have been concluded for the final phase of the 2025 Nigeria National Volleyball Premier League, scheduled to take place from 1–14 December 2025 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The concluding phase of the league organised with the support of the Controller-General of Customs will feature top men’s and women’s clubs from across the country as they compete for national honours, ranking points, and the prestigious Premier League title. Federation officials say the 2025 edition is expected to be the most competitive in recent years.

NVBF President, Engr. Musa Nimrod, expressed optimism about the quality of play anticipated in the finals, noting that the league continues to reflect the sport’s growing structure and fan base nationwide. He said the consistent improvement in club administration and athlete development has strengthened the domestic volleyball ecosystem.

Chairman of the League Management Committee, Arch. Tanimu Adamu, confirmed that logistics, technical arrangements, and venue preparations have been finalised to ensure a seamless championship. He stressed that the final phase represents more than a contest for titles, describing it as a celebration of discipline, teamwork, and the resilience of Nigerian athletes.

“The NVBF remains committed to elevating volleyball in Nigeria, and this year’s Premier League final phase is a testament to that commitment. We appreciate the steadfast support of the Controller-General of Customs and all our partners for their investment in athlete development and national sports advancement,” he said.

The NVBF Media Committee called on volleyball fans, sports enthusiasts, students, families, and the general public to attend the event and enjoy two weeks of high-intensity matches and a vibrant sporting atmosphere at the national stadium.

With preparations now complete, the federation assures teams, officials, and spectators of a safe, well-coordinated, and memorable championship.
