Nimrod, credited with driving significant progress in the development of volleyball both domestically and internationally, was returned unopposed after receiving all 16 votes at the NVBF elective congress held on Monday at the Basketball Hall of Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
In other key elections, Prince Babatunde Omisore was elected as the 1st Vice President, while Architect Adamu Tenimu secured the 2nd Vice President position.

Dauda Saje will represent the players on the board, while Samuel Timothy was appointed as Technical Representative. The corporate sector’s interests will be overseen by Comptroller Frank Onyeka, serving as Sponsor Representative.
Following his re-election, Nimrod emphasized his commitment to new initiatives aimed at advancing volleyball in Nigeria.
“Our focus is not on past accomplishments but on future opportunities. We will continue to prioritize grassroots development with clear pathways from the U-15 category through to the senior level,” Nimrod stated.
He also promised to strengthen major volleyball tours by incorporating experienced mentors and staff, alongside efforts to attract additional sponsorship.
The federation’s upcoming agenda includes participation in the U-21 Championship in Mexico, U-18 World Championship in Qatar, Senior World Championship in Australia, African Youth Games in Angola, and World Schools Games in China.
“With the elections concluded, it is now time to focus on delivering results,” Nimrod concluded, as the federation awaits formal inauguration by the National Sports Commission.
