Nigeria-born Dortmund Defender Joins Eintracht Frankfurt

Nnamdi Collins, a Nigeria-born Borussia Dortmund's central defender has completed his move to another Bundesliga side Eintracht Frankfurt, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The 19-year-old defender who has represented Germany at youth international level, is also eligible to represent Nigeria through family.

Nnamdi joined BVB in 2016 and subsequently progressed through the club's youth ranks. He won the German A Junior Bundesliga title with the U19s in 2022, before captaining the team in the final a year later. In addition, he made his first appearance for the U23s at the beginning of the year and thus made his debut at senior level. Overall, Collins made eight appearances for BVB in the 3. Liga.

BVB sporting director Sebastian Kehl said: "Nnamdi approached us and expressed a great desire to switch clubs this summer. We wish him all the very best for his future."
