Ademola Lookman delivered another standout performance as Atalanta secured a 2–1 victory over Chelsea in their UEFA Champions League encounter on Tuesday night.
The Nigerian forward played 87 minutes before being substituted for Mario Pašalić, continuing what has been an impressive European campaign. Lookman has now contributed one goal and one assist in five Champions League appearances this season.
Chelsea struck first at Bergamo, with João Pedro opening the scoring in the 25th minute following a well-timed pass from Reece James. Atalanta responded strongly after the break, and Gianluca Scamacca restored parity with a close-range header 10 minutes into the second half.
The hosts sealed the comeback win in the 83rd minute when Charles De Ketelaere fired home the decisive goal, securing a crucial three points for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side.
In another Group Stage fixture, Victor Osimhen featured for the full 90 minutes but could not prevent Galatasaray from falling 1–0 to Monaco.
Monaco had an early chance to take control when Dennis Zakaria won a penalty in the 51st minute, but the midfielder failed to convert. However, the French side eventually found the breakthrough as former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun scored the winner in the 68th minute.
