Nigeria completed a flawless group-stage campaign with a convincing victory over Uganda on Tuesday evening, finishing with a 100 percent record after winning all three matches, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Super Eagles scored eight goals and conceded four across the group, underlining their attacking strength and overall consistency.

Midfielder Raphael Onyedika was the standout performer against Uganda, scoring twice to secure the Man-of-the-Match award. His intelligent late runs into the box proved decisive, as Nigeria controlled proceedings and dictated the tempo of the contest.

Player Ratings

Francis Uzoho – 5/10

Had little to do for long spells but looked uncertain at times when called upon. Some of his long passes were not accurate and despite his experience, he still need to improvement.

Igoh Ogbu – 6/10

Put in a solid defensive shift and dealt reasonably well with Uganda’s forwards. His recovery is superb.

Calvin Bassey – 8.5/10

Strong and composed at the back before being substituted at halftime after receiving a yellow card in the early stage of the match.

Ryan Alebiosu – 7.5/10

Despite playing his debut for Nigeria, his compusure and flexibility in opponent area are accurate 

Impressed with his energy and discipline, contributing defensively and going forward. 

Bruno Onyemaechi – 7/10

Consistent performance on the flank, offering balance to the team’s shape. Today's performance sealed the left back jersey from Zaidu Sanusi 

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru – 7/10

He gave assist in Paul Onuachu goal, playing as a playmaker he did well in.the middle of the pack 

Showed good movement and link-up play in midfield.

Raphael Onyedika – 8/10

An outstanding display capped by two well-taken goals. Clearly the game’s most influential player.

Moses Simon – 6.5/10

Lively on the wing and posed a constant threat, though end product was inconsistent.

Samuel Chukwueze – 6.5/10

Displayed flashes of quality before being replaced late in the game.

Victor Osimhen – 7.5/10

As the captain of the side, he led the line effectively, stretched the defense leading to the red card of the Uganda goalkeeper, and played a key role in the attack.

Paul Onuachu – 5/10

Scored his first and Nigeria 150th goal in the competition. Worked hard but struggled to impose himself before being substituted.

Substitutes

Bright Osayi-Samuel – 4.5/10

Found it difficult to make an impact after coming on to replace Calvin Bassey.

Zaidu Sanusi – 4.5/10

A quiet cameo with limited involvement.

Tochukwu Nnamdi – 5.5/10

Showed some promise in the closing stages.

Salim Fago – 4/10

Brief appearance with little time to influence the game.

Nigeria made several substitutions during the encounter, with Chidozie Awaziem replacing Calvin Bassey at halftime, Tochukwu Nnamdi coming on for Paul Onuachu in the 77th minute, Akor Adams replacing Victor Osimhen in the 87th minute, and Salim Fago taking over from Samuel Chukwueze in stoppage time.

The 2013 Africa Cup of Nations champions are expected to face Mozambique in the Round of 16, scheduled for January 5, 2026, at the Fez Stadium, as they continue their quest for continental glory.
