Nigerian Army Strikes Wrestling Gold, Silver In Baku

The Nigerian Army has started it's campaign in the 36th World Military Wrestling Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan, after striking a gold and silver media on Friday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

According to a post on social media app, Twitter now X, Reuben Hannah, an African silver medallist claimed Nigeria's first gold in her category.

Olaide Ojo was first to be on the podium after show claimed silver.

The one week event which kicked off from 27 November will end on 3rd December 2023. 

The team is headed by Air Vice Marshall Abidemi Marquis, the Defence Headquarters Director of Sports with 10 wrestlers and a coach.
