Nigerian-Born Defender Aaron Adeniji Signs Scholarship Deal with Millwall FC

Nigerian-born British defender Aaron Adeniji has signed a scholarship deal with Millwall FC, marking a significant milestone in the young footballer’s rapidly progressing career, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The teenage right-back earned his place at the Championship club’s academy following an impressive eight-week trial. Adeniji, who was scouted from grassroots side Invictus Academy, demonstrated consistent quality and composure throughout the assessment period, ultimately securing an Under-16 scholarship with the South London club.

Known for his pace and tactical awareness, Adeniji is a modern full-back capable of contributing at both ends of the pitch. Comfortable pushing forward to support attacks when required, he also possesses the defensive discipline needed to contain opposition wingers. His playing style has drawn comparisons to Arsenal defenders Jurriën Timber and Ben White, as well as Manchester United’s Diogo Dalot.

Although registered as an Under-16 scholar, Adeniji has already gained experience at a higher level, featuring in several matches for Millwall’s Under-18 side. He was also named as an unused substitute during the club’s FA Youth Cup fixture against Everton Under-18s at The Den.

Since arriving at Millwall, Adeniji has continued to impress coaches with his professionalism, work ethic and determination — qualities that played a key role in earning his contract.

For the promising defender, the signing represents the beginning of what he hopes will be a long and successful journey in professional football.
