Nigerian Club Demands Compensation Over Transfer Of Getafe Star, Chrisantus Uche, Others

A Nigerian grassroots club, Campos FC, has demanded compensation for the transfers of its players from FIFA football agent Peter Ejiasi, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

A statement by the club's President and CEO, Patrick Osuji, alleged that the FIFA football agent failed to meet his obligations, leaving the club with significant financial losses.

The Owerri-based side is seeking fair compensation for the transfers of Chrisantus Ugonna Uche (now with Getafe in Spain) and Sixtus Nzubechi Ogbuehi (now with Osasuna B in Spain), as well as a resolution regarding the unauthorized transfers of Osuagwu Godswill Chinaza to CF Ceuta U19 and Nwafuru Anthony Arinze to UD Mellila in Spain.

He further alleged that Ejiasi is attempting to facilitate the transfer of Awodike Ikeji Chukwubuikem, a player currently registered with the club, to Spain without the club's consent.

Osuji said: "We are not opposed to our players seeking opportunities elsewhere, but we insist that the proper procedures be followed, and the rights of all parties be respected.

"We hope that by bringing this matter to light, we can prevent similar situations from arising in the future and promote a more transparent and equitable football industry."
