Nigerian Clubs To Pay $1,000 Each As CAF ACA Launches Membership Registration

The African Club Association (ACA) has officially rolled out its membership registration forms, opening the platform to football clubs across all 54 member nations under the Confederation of African Football (CAF), BSNSports.com.ng reports.

With the registration now active, all Premier League and First Division clubs are eligible to sign up, secure an official ACA membership number and gain access to the full range of benefits offered by the continental body.

Participation requires an annual membership fee of $1,000 per club. ACA Chairman, Eng. Hersi Said, emphasized that the initiative represents a major step forward in uniting clubs under a single, influential structure aimed at protecting their collective interests.

He reaffirmed ACA’s commitment to raising professional and operational standards within African football and ensuring clubs have an empowered voice in global football conversations.

 “This launch marks a significant milestone toward professionalising African club football,” the chairman noted, highlighting ACA’s mission to support development, improve governance and strengthen commercial opportunities for member clubs.

The introduction of the registration program is widely seen as a strategic step in shaping the future of football on the continent, especially as clubs continue to push for greater respect, financial sustainability, and global representation.
