The Nigerian Embassy in Cairo has announced plans to rally support for the Flying Eagles ahead of their highly anticipated semi-final clash against South Africa in the 2025 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

In a bid to boost morale and ensure strong backing from the stands, the embassy is mobilizing Nigerians living in Egypt to attend the match, which will take place on Thursday at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia.

Deputy Chargé d’Affaires at the Nigerian Chancery in Cairo, Malam Garba Ishaya, confirmed the embassy’s commitment to providing logistical support for fans. “We have concluded plans to mobilize Nigerians to and from the stadium to give maximum support to the Flying Eagles today,” he stated.

To facilitate the initiative, the embassy will provide transportation and food for Nigerians willing to cheer the team from the stands.

Nigeria, seven-time champions of the U-20 continental tournament, will be aiming for a place in the final when they take on their South African counterparts in the first semi-final of the competition.
