Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that newly signed Nigerian striker, Etiosa Ighodaro, is expected to be available for selection once the international break is over, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ighodaro, who joined the South African Premier League giants as a free agent following the expiration of his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, has yet to make his debut.

He missed pre-season due to a transfer dispute between the two clubs and later picked up an injury in training. Club medics have now given a positive update on his recovery.

“Ighodaro is injured, but the medical department has assured us of his imminent return. He started training with the group this week, although without contact,” coach Kaze explained.

“We are hopeful that after the international break, he will be ready to feature,” the club added.
