Former Nigerian international Sunday Oliseh has praised the outstanding performance of Super Eagles defender Benjamin Frederick, highlighting his influence in Nigeria’s emphatic victory over Gabon in the semi-final of the World Cup playoff, BSNSports.com.ng reports 

The promising defender was impressive throughout Thursday’s encounter, playing a key role in ensuring a solid defensive unit as the Super Eagles cruised to a comfortable win.

Oliseh, a former Super Eagles captain and coach, took to social media to applaud the youngster’s exceptional display.

“I personally found Benjamin Frédéric to be the most influential player yesterday versus Gabon for Super Eagles. Always well positioned, pacy, decisive and played simple,” he said.

Frederick’s calmness, reading of the game, and defensive composure earned him wide praise, and his performance has further strengthened his growing reputation as one of the most exciting young talents in Nigerian football.
