Nigerian midfielder Aremu Afeez scored his first goal for Aberdeen FC, securing a crucial 1–0 victory over Kilmarnock FC in their relegation knockout clash.

Former Akwa United midfielder joined the Scottish side during the winter transfer window from Germany second division side.

The 26-year-old box-to-box midfielder delivered the decisive moment of the encounter, finding the back of the net to hand Aberdeen a much-needed win as they continue their fight to retain their top-flight status.

Afeez’s strike not only marked his maiden goal for the Scottish side but also proved vital in boosting the team’s survival hopes in the tense relegation battle.
