FIFA U-17 World Cup winner in the 2013 edition at the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E) Saviour Godwin and former Shooting Stars defender, Chima Akas presented their branded Portugal club shirt to President Muhammad Buhari, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The duo who play for Casa Pia and Belenenses SAD respectively in the Portuguese lower division league and their agent, were among the Nigerians in diaspora who on Wednesday night had an engagement with the Commander-In-Chief, who is in Portugal on a state visit on the invitation of President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.

Like he did in Spain when he got a jersey from Super Eagles and Leganes defender, Kenneth Omerou, President MBuhari also received gifts from Nigerian Professional footballers who are based in Lisbon.

While speaking with the Nigerian residents, President Buhari, reiterated the commitment of his administration to ensure that the Nigerian government will be ever ready to support her citizens in diaspora.

Recall, Minister of Youth and Sports, Sunday Dare is part of President Muhammadu Buhari's contingent to Portugal, for the signing of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on sports .

The MoU with Portugal is slightly different because it bothers only on creating mutualism in sports; which will see exchange of technical-know-how, sporting equipment support for athletics and football development.
