Nigerian quarter-miler David Akhalu has officially committed to the University of Iowa, marking a significant step forward in his athletic and academic journey, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Akhalu, one of Nigeria’s rising sprint talents, joins the Hawkeyes track and field program with impressive personal bests of 21.29 seconds in the 200m and 46.34 seconds in the 400m times that underline his immense potential to make an immediate impact in the U.S. collegiate scene. 

His addition is expected to strengthen Iowa’s sprint lineup as the team continues to build on recent successes in the Big Ten Conference.
