Nigeria’s top-ranked female tennis player, Khadijat Mohammed, has secured a move to the United States after joining Texas A&M University–Kingsville to continue both her academic pursuits and tennis career, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The talented Nigerian star will represent the university in the American collegiate tennis system, further strengthening the growing presence of Nigerian athletes competing in college tennis across the United States.

Mohammed’s move is expected to provide her with a platform to further develop her game while combining education with competitive tennis in one of the world’s most structured college sports environments.

Her transition also highlights the increasing pathway for Nigerian tennis players seeking greater exposure, development opportunities, and international experience through the American college sports system.
