No One Could Explain Why Osimhen Is Playing In Turkey – Watford FC Legend

Watford FC legend Troy Deeney has expressed his surprise over Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen’s move to the Turkish Super Lig, insisting that a player of his quality should be playing for a top European club, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Since joining Galatasaray initially on loan before making the move permanent Osimhen has been a massive hit in Turkey, continuing his fine goal-scoring form that once lit up Serie A.

However, during a chat with CBS Golazo, Deeney questioned why a striker of Osimhen’s caliber found himself in the Turkish league rather than at one of Europe’s elite clubs.

“Victor Osimhen is one guy we can never really understand. Why is he in Turkey? Why is he not at these big clubs?” Deeney asked.

 “There’s something about him that says he’s a goalscorer, but clearly some other people don’t fancy him. For me, you need a goalscorer in your team.”

Osimhen, who previously starred for Napoli, has continued to prove his worth with his sharp movement, aerial ability, and clinical finishing traits that have made Deeney and several football analysts puzzled about his current destination.

The Nigerian forward remains one of Africa’s most feared strikers, and despite the questions surrounding his move, his performances in Turkey continue to attract attention from top clubs across Europe.
