The Northern Lions delivered a commanding performance to secure a four-wicket victory over the Southern Sharks in Match 1 of the Nigeria Super League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Lions set the tone early by producing a disciplined bowling display to restrict the Southern Sharks to a modest total of 89 all out in their allotted 20 overs.

 Their bowlers maintained tight lines and consistent pressure, preventing the Sharks from building any meaningful partnerships.

In response, the Northern Lions approached the chase with composure, steadily working their way to the target despite a few setbacks. 

They eventually reached 92 for 6 in 15.4 overs, sealing the win with more than four overs to spare.

The result gives the Northern Lions a strong start to their campaign, while the Southern Sharks will look to regroup ahead of their next fixture.
