Nottingham Forest Refuse To Reveal Ola Aina's Return Date

With just three weeks remaining before the kickoff of the 2025 African Cup of Nations in Morocco, uncertainty continues to surround the availability of Super Eagles defender Ola Aina, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nottingham Forest full-back had given Nigerian fans a glimmer of hope earlier in the week after posting photos of himself doing light training, raising optimism about a possible quick return from injury.

However, a new update emerging from England appears to dampen those hopes.

According to respected journalist Osasu Obayiuwana, Nottingham Forest, through its media officer, Callum Davies, has declined to provide any clear timeframe for Aina’s full return to action.

“Nothing official. He (Aina) posted photos of him [being] back on the training pitch recently but not with the squad, just individual work,” Davies said when asked about the player’s recovery progress.

When further pressed on when Aina is expected to rejoin full training or become match-fit again, Davies maintained silence: “No, nothing I can share on that.”

Aina, a key member of the Super Eagles' defence, has been sidelined for weeks due to injury, and his potential absence could pose a major setback to Nigeria’s AFCON preparations.

The Super Eagles are expected to begin camp in early December as they aim for a strong challenge in Morocco.
