Nottingham Forest and Leeds are interested in signing Torino defender Ola Aina, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The versatile wing-back spent last season operating as a left-sided wing-back and he made 21 appearances in Serie A.
Now, he could be allowed to leave and a return to the Premier League is likely to be appealing for the 25-year-old.
Aina spent a year at Fulham during 2020/21, making 31 appearances as the Cottagers were relegated from the Premier League.
Aina has also played six times for Chelsea during his career and also spent a season with Hull.
The man who has played 29 times for Nigeria is out of contract next summer and Torino would consider a sale.
Intriguingly, Aina is represented by Elite Project Group who also have Joe Aribo on their books, with the Rangers man linked with Forest at the weekend.
Forest are on the hunt for versatile wing-back options.
His contract with Torino, which was signed when he made a permanent move there in 2019, only has 12 months left to run on it. Therefore, the Serie A side must make a decision on whether to renew his deal or sell him.
During the 2021-22 season, he started fewer than half of their league games. From 23 appearances between Serie A and the Coppa Italia, he was unable to provide a goal or assist.
Hence, he may not be at the centre of their plans. It could prompt a return to the Premier League at the age of 25.
Meanwhile, he is also on the radar of Leeds United, who just avoided relegation last season, and Forest, who won promotion via the play-offs.
