Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali has returned for Chippa United against Orlando Pirates in the South Africa league after an injury scare, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

Recall that the former Enyimba goalkeeper, who made a return to the squad was stretched off in the defeat against Richards Bay during the week.

The Injury scare raised doubts on his availability for Nigeria’s upcoming crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda, and South Africa.

The shotstopper made a penalty save to deny Orlando Pirates the opportunity to extend their two goals lead in the South Africa Premier League clash at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was on Friday named in Nigeria’s final 23-man squad for the games with the Amavubi, and Bafana Bafana and he is expected to join his teammates in camp in Uyo after his club engagement.
