Nwabali Set To Kick Off 2025/2026 Season with New Coach At Chippa United

Nigeria’s Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, will begin the 2025/2026 South African Premier League campaign under fresh leadership, as Chippa United have appointed Sinethemba Badela as their new head coach, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Badela, formerly an assistant coach at Moroccan giants Wydad AC, replaces Thabo September, who parted ways with the club after steering them to an 11th-place finish in the 2024/25 season.

September himself had taken over midway through the campaign from Kwanepe Kopo.

This appointment marks Badela’s first role as a head coach in South Africa’s top flight, although he brings experience from the country’s lower divisions and his recent stint alongside Rulani Mokwena at Wydad.

Chippa United, also known as the Chilli Boys, have yet to reveal the duration of Badela’s contract. Further details regarding his technical staff are expected to be announced soon.
