Nwaneri Clinches Man Of The Match Award

England-born, Nigeria descent, Ethan Nwaneri was voted Arsenal’s Player of the Match following their 2-0 win against Leicester City, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The young midfielder delivered an outstanding performance for an Arsenal side hit by injuries, particularly among their attacking players.

Nwaneri capped off his impressive display with a crucial assist for Mikel Merino, who broke the deadlock in the 81st minute.

The academy graduate edged out tough competition from Merino, who scored both goals, as well as Gabriel Magalhães and Declan Rice to claim the award.

Nwaneri secured 56% of the votes, while Merino received 42%. Rice and Gabriel garnered two and one vote, respectively.
