OFFICIAL : Former Akwa United midfielder Joins Bahrain club Alhala SC on a free transfer

Former Akwa United defensive midfielder, Azeez Olawale has joined Bahrain based club Alhala SC from Libyan outfit Asswehly SC on a free transfer, The BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The experienced defender, who featured for Akwa United during the 2015/16 season, were they were crowned AITEO cup champions, after beaten off Lobi Stars, 2-1 in the final.

He also previously played for three other teams in the Nigeria Premier Football League, such as Shooting Stars, Kwara United and Rangers International, before leaving the country to signed for Egyptian side Tanta SC.

Alhala SC who monitored the player at Asswehly SC of Libya, announced the signing of the Nigerian midfielder to boost their squad ahead of the 2023/24 Bahrain premier League Season, and has been handed jersey number 10 shirt at the club.
