OFFICIAL: Abubakar Quits Enyimba For Rivers United On Free Transfer

Former Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions, Rivers United have completed the signing of winger, Sadiq Abubakar, from Enyimba FC on a free transfer, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The former Plateau United winger signed a two-year contract with the Pride of Rivers until 2025 season. 

Enyimba couldn’t agree a new deal with the player after the end of the 2022/23 season as he left the club as a free agent. 

The 26-year-old forward will earn around N500,000 per month at his new club.

Abubakar will have the opportunity of playing in the CAF Confederation Cup with Rivers United.

Abubakar played a crucial role in Enyimba title winning their nineth league title last season.
