Nigeria's Super Falcons centre defender Osinachi Ohale has joined Mexican side Pachuca CF, following an impressive performance in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The experienced defender was with Spanish side Alaves last season, before starring for the Super Falcons in the FIFA Women's World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where he featured in all four games for the Randy Waldrum-led team that reached the Round of 16 in the tournament.

Ohale formed a solid partnership with young defender Tosin Demehin, with Nigeria conceding just twice. She also scored the winner against Australia in the group stage.

Her standout performances have earned Ohale a move to Liga MX Femenil club Pachuca CF after the tournament.

Ohale will join compatriot Uchenna Kanu in Mexico, hoping to make her mark in the league.

She has featured in four World Cups and also has won four Africa Women’s Cup of Nations titles to her name with the Super Falcons.

After starting her career in Nigeria, she played for several US clubs before moving to Europe with Vittsjo GIK and spells in Spain and Italy.

The experienced center-back’s arrival is a massive boost for Pachuca CF, who currently sit 12th in the 18-team Mexican women’s league.

Ohale will aim to strengthen their defense defense her pedigree to help drive them up the table.
