Obafemi Martins Reveals Reason Behind Chukwueze's Dip In Form For Nigeria

Former Super Eagles striker Obafemi Martins has shed light on the reason behind Samuel Chukwueze’s recent decline in form, both at club level and for the Nigerian national team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Once considered one of the bright spots in the squad, the AC Milan winger has struggled to maintain the high standards he previously set.

Speaking to Africa Football, Martins pointed to Chukwueze’s lack of regular playing time at AC Milan as a key factor in his poor form.

“The Saudi Pro League is getting more competitive. If a good offer comes along, why not take it?”

Martins said. “What matters most is that he gets back to playing regularly. Rhythm and confidence are crucial for a player like him.”

He emphasized that Chukwueze’s struggles at club level are now visible in his performances for the Super Eagles.

“If he wants to remain a key player for Nigeria, he must regain his rhythm. A transfer might be necessary if he wants to keep his place and perform well with the national team,” Martins added.
