German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen has announced the arrival of Nigerian forward Victor Boniface from Union St Gilloise, BSNSports.com.ng reports

The German side announced the capture of the 22-year-old attacker on Saturday after passing his medical with the club.

"Bayer 04 Leverkusen have signed Nigerian Victor Boniface from top Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise.

"The 22-year-old signed a contract with the Bundesliga club that runs until 30 June 2028 and will wear the number 22 shirt", the club statement said.

The club's Sporting Director Simon Rolfes was extremely excited about getting the young attacker.

"We've had Victor Boniface on our radar for a long time.

"His performance in a direct duel then absolutely confirmed our positive assessment. Victor is a very present centre forward who is difficult to play and who poses a challenge for every defender just because of his physicality.

"In addition, he is also fast and technically adept and with him, we have a strong but still viable and flexible striker in our ranks for the long term.

"He will help us to improve the quality of our squad in the multitude of games in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Europa League," said Rolfes.
