Ogbala Satisfied With Heartland Queens Draw Against Naija Ratels

Heartland Queens Technical Adviser, Obi Ogbala has expressed satisfaction after his side were forced to a goalless draw by Naija Ratels in Match Day 5 of the Nigeria Women's Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Ogbala hailed his team for the draw despite having a one-woman disadvantage after Mary Lucky was given her marching order after two cautions in a game decided at the Military Turf of Aguiyi Ironsi Stadium in Abuja.

"Well, actually, I came here to collect the three points but when we got the red card I have to rejig my team to be able to curtail them to at least get a point. Well, with one woman down and good enough I have a good bench that is why I was not jittery at all.

"We introduced Chinedu Chinaka to put the defence on alert. We are playing away but then we have to take the ball to them and at the same time try to slow them down so that we can go home with a draw."

The former Nasarawa Amazons gaffer said the away point at last season's nemesis, Naija Ratels did not hurt his side dreams for a Super Six spot.

"Well, this match has come and gone, Naija Ratels are good side, we are not taking anything away from them but as we journey home we are going to work on the next match against Dannaz Ladies. Surely, our dreams is to be in the Super Six and nothing is going to stop us from achieving it.

"Since we came here to pick a point, we are going to look hard at our mistakes here, correct them and come up with match plans to take the whole points in the next match against Dannaz Ladies."

The barren draw at the Abuja based side has taken the Owerri landladies points haul to eight from possible 15, second on the group's log and three points behind leaders, Confluence Queens.

Heartland Queens will next play host to newcomers, Dannaz Ladies in Wednesday's NWFL Premiership matchday 6 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
