Head Coach of Remo Stars Gbenga Ogunbote has stated that one careless moment in the game against Akwa United cost his team a point, BSNsports.com.ng reports.
Remo Stars had to succumb in the second half after working so hard in the first stanza of the game.
The former Enugu Rangers coach said they played well and deserved to get something from the game but it was never meant to be.
" We came for a victory but unfortunately, we didn't get it right, we had a careless moment and at that point in time, we worked so hard to have deserved at least a point but we didn't get it.
"As it is we go home, this game has been won and lost and it has become history. All we need to talk about now is our next game," he said.
Sky Blues boys have become a revelation in the league this season having secured a promotion to the elite division.

After recording a narrow win against Remo Stars on Matchday 33 of the NPFL, Head Coach of Akwa United Coach Deji Ayeni has said they expected the game to be tough, BSNsports.com.ng understand
The 'Promise Keeper' had to work extra hard before they could break down the Sky Blues Boys at the Goodswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.
While reacting to the outcome of the match, the former Sunshine Stars gaffer said his players were anxious but he had to calm them down.
" I knew the match was not going to be easy, we prepared ourselves psychologically, technically and tactically but when the goal refused to come, we had to take easy till it came.
"The boys were anxious since it's been a long time we won a game and brought some kind of pressure unto them and I told them during halftime that they had to cool down and relax.
"When we failed to score we made sure we did not concede like the last time against Enyimba," he stated.
Akwa United will take on Rivers United on the Matchday 34 of the league .
