Ogunbote Blames Careless Defending, Poor Marksmanship For 3SC Loss To Remo Stars

Gbenga Ogunbote, has attributed Shooting Stars' careless defending, as well as poor finishing for the 3-0 defeat suffered in the hands of Remo Stars in NPFL Matchday 6 Southwest Derby on Wednesday in Ikenne, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

In his post-match interview, Ogunbote said even though the team lost the encounter, his players did not perform badly. 

"The game has been played, won, and lost, we take the positives from it.  

"I think we had some careless moments, the boys didn't play badly, but we were unable to defend well enough to at least secure a point," added the gaffer.

On the next home game against Niger Tornadoes, the Oracle, as he's fondly called, expressed the readiness of the team to get it right in the Matchday 7 fixture on Sunday at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex.

"We will go back and prepare for the game. As you can see, the challenge we had against Remo Stars, was the final touch, we've been working on it and we will continue to work on it until perfection is achieved," he stated.
