Rangers International and Remo Stars head coaches, Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede will handle the Super Eagles home based team when they resume preparations ahead of the Championship of African Nations (CHAN) qualifier in October, 2024, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Meanwhile, Super Eagles interim coach, Austin Eguavoen will play a supervisory role for successful outing.

Eguavoen, who is also the NFF technical director, has clarified this arrangement.

“They (Ogunmodede, Ilechukwu) have been in the league for many years, the onus is on them to build the team, I will supervise them,” Eguavoen explained.

“They should be able to call up 30 players from the league because they play against these players every year. I only watch the league periodically.”

The CHAN qualifiers are fixed for between October 25 and 27.

Caretaker coach, Eguavoen, wins more support after Super Eagles flew past Benin Republic and drew 0-0 with Rwanda in the matchday 1&2 of the 2025 African Nations Cup qualifier.
