Coach Ladan Bosso will be banking on Abel Ogwuche; a centre-back to stand-in for Daniel Bamaiyi, as the inspirational Flying Eagles captain is out of Thursday's AFCON U20 quarter-final game against Uganda Hippos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Bamaiyi is suspended following the two yellow card he received in the group stage of the tournament.

A second caution card he received in the Flying Eagles 2-0 victory over Mozambique on Saturday in their last Group A game at the Suez Canal Stadium in Ismailia, handed Bosso a selection headache ahead of Thursday tie.

According to information scooped from the Flying Eagles camp, the Trelleborgs FF of Sweden defender has been tipped to replace Bamayi for the all important clash on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the four teams that advance to the semi-finals of the AFCON U20 in Egypt will fly Africa's flag at the FIFA U20 World Cup billed for Indonesia in May.
