Ola Aina: "I Really Enjoy Playing In Nigeria"

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has expressed his love for playing in Nigeria, stating that he enjoys the experience of representing his country in front of passionate fans, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Aina switched his international allegiance to Nigeria in 2017 after previously representing England at youth levels.

He made his debut for the Super Eagles in the same year, featuring in three matches, although he was not part of the squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Since then, Aina has become a regular fixture in the Nigerian national team.

Speaking with NBC Sports, the versatile defender shared his enthusiasm for playing in Nigeria: "It's actually going to Nigeria and playing there in front of the fans. It's fun, and I really enjoy it," he said.

With 44 caps for the Super Eagles, Aina played a key role in Nigeria's successful campaign in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, where they reached the final in Ivory Coast.
