Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Olisa Ndah is set to leave the South African Premier League giant Orlando Pirates as the club management concluded on a massive clear out at the end of the season, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The lanky defender joined the Soweto giant in 2020 after helping Akwa United to a league title.

He was in action for the club in the final of the Confederation Cup against RS Berkane the following year before he encountered a long-time injury.

Ndah bounced back in January 2023 but he has been unable to tie down regular playing time under the new manager Jose Riveiro.

According to the South African news outlet Phakaaati, several players who struggle under the gaffer will have to leave at the end of the season.

Ndah was listed alongside Goodman Mosele, Ben Motshwari, Fortune Makaringe, Collins Makgaka, Eva Nga, and Souaibou Marou.

“The bosses don’t want to have a big squad where some players will end up just getting paid without playing,” the statement said.
