Olise Opens Up On Reason He Dumped Nigeria

Nigeria-born Michael Olise has opened up on the reason he chose to represent France at the expense of Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Olise was born in England to a Nigeria father and French-Algerian mother but grew up in France. He was invited to the Super Eagles in 2022 as a standby but he has switched his attention to France. Despite being called up to the England squad for the Euro 2024, Olise opted to play for France at the Olympics. While speaking to RMC, Olise said he felt more like French. "My father is from Nigeria and my mother from France, I came here as a child. " I had connection with the French team, that's why I play for France", he declared.
