Comoros have booked a second-round showdown with Nigeria's Super Falcons in the qualifiers for the women's football event of the 2028 Olympic Games after another emphatic victory over Sudan, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The Islanders completed a remarkable 30-0 aggregate triumph over Sudan following a 13-0 win in the second leg of their first-round encounter.
Comoros had already put one foot into the next stage after recording a staggering 17-0 victory in the first leg.
Their dominant display over the two-legged tie now sets up an intriguing clash against the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the second round of the qualification series.
Nigeria, one of Africa's most successful women's national teams, will be aiming to overcome Comoros and continue their quest for a place at the 2028 Olympic Games.
The dates and venues for the second-round fixtures involving the Super Falcons and Comoros are expected to be announced by the relevant football authorities in due course.
