Olympic Qualifier: Ethiopia A Hard Nut To Crack - Super Falcons Coach

By Sampson Adedeji

After leading the team to get a draw in Addis Ababa, the stand-in coach of the Super Falcons Justin Madugu has described the game against Ethiopia as a difficult tie, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The nine-time African champions had to rely on the 51st-minute strike of Rasheedat Ajibade to secure a valuable draw against Ethiopia in the first leg of the Second Round of the Olympic Games qualifier.

Coach Madugu took charge of the team following the absence of the substantive coach Randy Waldrum.

Madugu said they targeted victory but it was never meant to be as Ethiopia also worked hard to get something from the game.

"It wasn't an easy game, because the Ethiopians also ensured they got something from the game. We came to win, but it didn't come out as expected.

We will ensure we get a better result at home", he said.

Nigeria will host the second leg at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja next Tuesday.
