A few months after losing to Nigeria, the coach of the Bayana Bayana of South Africa Desiree Ellis still cannot believe the outcome of the game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The African champions suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Super Falcons of Nigeria in the final round of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier.

" First of all in the first match, they got the penalty but we created a few opportunities that we didn't take.

I think in the second game, the plan from the word go was to hit them up front and we didn't do that.

" I looked at it over and over again and I can't put my hand on why it didn't happen.

But we created a few opportunities, our Achilles heal for a long while, it's been our attack, we've created so many chances, it doesn't matter who we play against", she lamented.

Bayana Bayana last played at the Olympics at Rio 2016 in Brazil.
