Olympic Qualifier: Team Nigeria Beach Volleyball Crashes Out

The hope of Nigeria Women's Beach Volleyball team to reach the Olympic Games in Paris was finally dashed on Sunday evening, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Team Nigeria had earlier in the day defeated their counterpart from Cape Verde 2-0 to set up a final clash against a high-flying Egypt.

They started the final strongly and dominated the first stanza eventually securing a 21-15 win.

The North Africans came back stronger and better in the second half and claimed a 16-21 win.

The Nigerians came back stronger in the deciding set but the Egyptian did enough to claim a 15-8 victory.

The result means that Egypt will represent the continent in the Olympic Games in Paris, France.
