Olympic Qualifier: Team Nigeria Boxers Post Good Results In Senegal

Team Nigeria boxers participating in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games qualifier currently going in Dakar Senegal are the cynosure of all eyes in the events, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side arrived in Dakar Senegal on Thursday and they settled down quickly for the qualifier.

The qualifier commenced on Saturday and Nigerian boxers recorded good results and performed well on Sunday.

Nigeria's Fatai Moshood Abiola beats Obama Mangue Raul Abaga from Equatoria Guinea on points (5-0) in the round of 64 to advance to the round of 32 at the ongoing Africa Olympic Boxing Qualifiers in Dakar, Senegal. 

Omole Dolapo Joshua knocked out Kanu Abu from Sierra Leone in round 1 on Saturday.

On Sunday, Nigeria's Oyesiji Adeola Omowunmi beats Tanzanian Yusuf Zulfa Macho on points (5-0) in the round of 16 of Women's 50kg, while Adeshina Zainab Motunrayo also defeated Havyarimana Ornella of Burundi on points (5-0) at the round of 16 of women's 54kg.
