Olympic Qualifier: Ucheibe Apologises For Her Absence

Super Falcons midfielder, Christy Ucheibe, has tendered her unreserved apology for her absence from the game against Ethiopia, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The SL Benfica midfielder was among the players initially invited for the 2024 Olympic Games qualifier but she dropped out of the team a few days ago.

She took to her social media handle to apologise to Nigerians and further wish the team the best of luck.

" I am honoured as always to be called up to represent Super Falcons of Nigeria but unfortunately I will not be able to take part in the game against Ethiopia due to circumstances beyond my control.

I wish the team all the best and I will be supporting with all my heart from here.

I look forward to returning into the team in the next International window. Thank you", she said.
