Omeruo Shares His Plans For The NPFL
Sampson Adedeji
Super Eagles and Kasimpasa defender Kenneth Omeruo has revealed his intentions regarding the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Omeruo, who previously played for Sunshine Stars before moving abroad, stated that he has no plans to return to the league as a player.
Instead, he expressed an interest in contributing to the NPFL through scouting talent.
Speaking via his social media account (Space X live), Omeruo explained, "I don't see myself going back to play in the Nigerian league, but I’m passionate about identifying talented players."
He added, "I believe in the immense potential of Nigerian football. After my playing career, I would love to help manage the league. It's a tough challenge, but we should aim to sell players for better prices, like the Brazilians do, rather than for small amounts."
Notable players like Ahmed Musa, Shehu Abdullahi, and Brown Ideye have recently decided to return to the NPFL.
