Onyeamaechi Named Boavista Player Of December

Nigeria's Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyeamaechi has emerged as the Boavista Player of the Month for December, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The left-footed full-back was instrumental to the team's decent performance in December, and he was among the goalscorers in the month.

The Nigerian International was elated to win the award and he also admitted that the efforts played a major role in the achievement.

 "It’s not just about this award. It’s about the commitment, the team’s effort, the good work we do in the games, even when we don’t get a good result".

 "Of course, I’m happy to win this award, but the most important thing is the game against Arouca, which we want to win”, he told the club media.

 It remained unseen if Onyeamaechi will stay with Boavista beyond January as the board of Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor has commenced negotiations for him.
