Onyekuru Spurs Adana Demirspor To Win Angelo Lervolino Trophy

Henry Onyekuru looks set to get his Super Eagles time and club career back on track after he helped Adana Demirspor to win the Angelo Lervolino Trophy In Italy, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The maiden edition of the Angelo Lervolino Tournament was organized by Serie B sides Salernitana and Reggina.

The Nigerian who joined the Turkish side on a one-year loan deal from Greek giants Olympiakos in the summer, was on target in the final as Adana Demirspor defeated Salernitana 3-1 to claim the trophy.

Adana Demirspor had lost the first game by a lone goal to Reggina but claimed the trophy on best goal difference after the three teams had 3 points each.

The Turkish club had a plus one goal difference, while both Salernitana and Reggina had no goal difference.

Recall while in Italy, Onyekuru faced off against Victor Osimhen as Napoli and Adana Demirspor played out a 2-2 draw in a pre-season friendly.
