Oparanozie Hails Heartland Queens After Victory Over Dannaz Ladies

Retired Super Falcons legend, Desire Oparanozie has hailed Heartland Queens of Owerri after their 2-1 victory over Dannaz Ladies in the Nigeria Women Football League, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

The retired Super Falcons attacker, who recently sealed up her retirement from active football with a testimonial game at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri was on ground to support the Owerri landladies. 

She congratulated them after the game saying; "What an exciting victory. Weldone to everyone one of you from the defense to the attack. It was a worthy win. You fought till the last minute. I just want to encourage you to keep it up."

The hard-fought victory takes the Owerri side to the top of the group's log on 11 points, same as the challengers, Nasarawa Amazons and Confluence Queens on superior goals going into the festive breaks.

Heartland Queens will on restart of season after the breaks wrap up the first term campaign at Gombe against Adamawa Queens.
