Oriental Derby: Rangers Hope To Return To Winning Ways Against Heartland

By Emmanuel Chinedu

Rangers International will be hoping to make a return to winning ways this weekend, when they face up against Heartland FC, in an Oriental Derby, on Sunday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The encounter will be a Matchday 7 clash involving the two South East teams, which will be played at the Awka City Stadium.

The Naze Millionaires have not had a positive start to the new season, as they became the only side yet to win a game this season.

While the Flying Antelopes have won all of their first three games at home this season, and are also one of the best-scoring sides in the league.

But Fidelis IIechukwu will be expecting his side to bounce back with a big performance against Heartland, on Sunday, after their Matchday 6 Mid-Week loss to Lobi Stars.

Heartland, on the other hand, was held to a 1-1 draw by Rivers United, at the Dan Anyiam Stadium. The result put the Owerri-based club as one of the contenders to go down this season due to their poor performances after six matches played.

Christian Obi will face up against a Rangers team, who are on a winning streak at home and also scoring goals for fun. But after the way he saw his team perform against Abia Warriors on Matchday 5 in Umuahia. It won't be a different clash to the last one they played.

In a derby game, forms are thrown out of the window, but a victory for Rangers Int'l will move them to the top of the log.
