Orji Bags MOTM Award In Lobi Stars Victory Over 3SC

Lobi Stars utility player, Kalu Orji bagged the Man of the Match award proudly sponsored by the Benue State Commissioner for Youth, Sports and Creativity, Rt. Hon. Terkimbi Ikyange, following his outstanding performance in Lobi Stars 2-1 win over Shooting Stars SC of Ibadan at the Lafia City Stadium, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Presenting the award to the winner on behalf of the Hon. Commissioner, Board Member of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) representing North Central, Chief Mrs Margaret Icheen, thanked the Super Eagles B defender for putting in extra effort together with his teammates to earn a deserved victory. 

Orji, while receiving the award and a cash donation from the former Speaker of Benue State Assembly in the presence of the donor Rt. Hon. Ikyange and Benue State Football Association Chairman, Barr. Paul Edeh, and the sponsor for his wonderful initiative, saying it will spur him and his teammates to put in more effort for the 'Yes Father club' 

In their separate remarks, the Benue Sports Commissioner said he has embarked on this personal initiative to reward the hard work of the players with a promise to sustain it.

"It is good for us to recognize hard work if the players are putting in their best to make us proud, we need to identify with them to show that we have concern for what they have been doing, it will encourage them to do more."

The BAFA boss, Barr Edeh on his part, thanked the winner of the award for standing tall in Lobi Stars victory and appreciated the sponsor for his generosity.  

The FA Chairman on his part donated a customized FA jersey and a cash donation to Kalu Orji as part of his contributions to inspire him to do more for the club.

This is the third winner since the commencement of the initiative by the Youth, Sports, and Creativity Commissioner, Rt. Hon. Ikyange.
